Global Costing and Price Calculation Suite

MSH Costing Database is an integrated costing solution, that collects all the relevant cost along standardized structures for complete turnkey hydro power plants.

Cost calculation, collection and comparison, technical cost drivers, supplier evaluation, taxes, foreign exchange handling, hedging, sales price calculation, cash-flow, order interest calculation and consolidation are all handled by the same application.

An additional component is the definition of scope (DOW) which integrates with the above environment.

UCS Concept

Standardized and Integrated Chemical Plant Costing

The UCS project was initially started to unify the calculation methods of two branches in a company.

After the first conceptual work was done, a new target for a specification of this unified costing tool for chemical plants was set.

This concept has then been implemented in SAP R/3 as standard costing and price calculation module.

FX Master

Project specific FX hedging tool

FX Master is a tool that was implemented in only 4 weeks from the first contact to the installed and operating application. Customer specific requirements for project specific hedging needed to be consolidated in a single tool.

It made it as easy as never before to ensure, that for every project the respective FX contracts were in place and the correct financial schedule was matched and maintained.

Thermodynamic Model

Building a thermodynamic model of an existing electricity and desalination plant in order to track the efficiency of operations

A contract between two parties, one delivering oil and receiving electricity and desalinated water and the other party operating the plant, share the interest of optimal operating conditions given the boundary condition of the weather and the required amount of electricity and water.

Our model constantly reads all data such as rotation speed, pressure, air and fuel temperature, switches and many other sensors from the plant and calculates the "plant performance" of each half hour. The results are reported to the board of management on a daily, monthly or yearly base. These reports establish the base for payments between the parties.
